Project 2 focuses on exploring data in the context of space, location and geography. Concepts are explored through weekly activities and workshops, and one final design is chosen between bivariate map data, digital fab laser cut map or spatial/geo location AR experience.

Spatial Workshop 2

The stairs can be re-designed into a ramp, the stairs are at a sharp turn where people constantly bump into eachother. A ramp in this area would open up the space and navigate the flow of traffic better in this area.</p> In the illustration wing the table can be re-designed so that there is another shelf that can be used for storage. Materials would be off the table and students can do their work in a clutter free table space. In the cafeteria there is a separate space that has couches for students to relax in. The current space is not utilized and the chairs are scattered. People put their feet up on the ledge and there are no tables to eat on so the same ledge is used for eating. Adding a high rise table with high rise chairs will allow students to eat and sit while looking out the windows. Adding some coffee tables to the space would organize and utilize the space better.
